Short Note on William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare is the greatest poet and dramatist of the Elizabethan Age. He was born on April 23, 1564 in the village of Stratford-on-Avon in the country of Warwickshire in England. His father name is John Shakespeare. His father was a trader in leather and agricultural products. His mother name is Mary Arden. His wife name is Anne Hathaway. She was eight years senior then William Shakespeare.  William Shakespeare had three children, two daughters and a son. William Shakespeare wrote thirty-seven play in all, 154 sonnets. He also wrote two long narrative poems and four short poems. The name of William Shakespeare's first original play is probably Lover's Labour's Lost. And The Tempest is his last play. As You Like It, Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, The Merchant of Venice, Othello, Julius Ceaser, Antony and Cleopatra and The Tempest are well known creations of William Shakespeare. William Shakespeare is very popular to the lovers of literature all over the world because of his universal appeal, creation of life-like characters, love for humanity, admirable treatment of love, moral teachings and above all, his grand and majestic style of expression. At the last age, William Shakespeare comes back to his village Stratford-on-Avon. In there, he lives very quiet life. After a few years of quiet life, his health broken down completely in 1616 and he died on the anniversary of his birth, April 23, 1616.
