Macbeth by William Shakespeare Summary

Macbeth is a tragic play by William Shakespeare. This play is about a brave general. His name is Macbeth. He was a brave general of Scotland. He receives a prophecy from three witches that he will one day be the king of Scotland. Macbeth is already a very well-known hero and brave warrior. He is very fond of the King of Scotland, Duncan. But the prophecy makes Macbeth eager to gain power quickly. His wife, Lady Macbeth, is a very ambitious woman. She strongly encourages Macbeth to quickly seize the throne at any cost. At one point, Macbeth loses his conscience in his greed and lust for power and kills the respected Duncan. Later, to maintain this power, he kills another general of Duncan, Banquo. In the continuation of this, this infinite hunger for power leads Macbeth to destruction. In the end, he is defeated and killed by Duncan's son Malcolm.
